Saturday 23 March 2024 turned into a high day for Belgian women's football. Not only was the first topper against Club YLA in the play-offs on the programme for our RSCA Women. The match was also the capstone of RSCA's 'Sporting Girls' campaign in collaboration with partner Telenet.
Fans of our RSCA Women and female fans of RSC Anderlecht received their own 'Sporting Girls' scarf as a gift from the club and the doors of the Lotto Park swung open exceptionally free of charge for all RSCA Women fans. Both on and off the pitch, the mood was upbeat. With 2,613 spectators, the club broke the spectator record in the Lotto Super League, which previously stood in the name of KAA Gent Ladies. Our RSCA Women visibly enjoyed the cheers under a bright sun at Lotto Park. They beat Club YLA 5-0 (goals from Wijnants, Vatafu, Deloose and Diki-Ouzraoui). Our RSCA Women thus start the play-offs with a three-point lead and remain in contention for a seventh consecutive title.
