Stefania Vatafu has extended her contract with the RSCA Women until June 2027. Our number 10 is the third Sporting player to sign a three-year contract with the club. Stefi has been a key contributor to the titles won by the Mauves since her arrival in 2018.
If you ask the RSCA Women players to describe Stefania in one word, they'll probably answer straight away ‘Messi.’ A nickname given to the Romanian international within the locker room, which says a lot about the 31-year-old’s quality on the pitch.
Stefi arrived at Neerpede in 2018. With the number 10 on her back, she quickly established herself as a key player of the RSCA Women. Her football IQ, her passing ability, and her technique have made Vatafu one of the best players in the Belgian league in recent years. Since she joined RSCA, she has won six league titles and one Belgian Cup.
Stefi is now tied to the club of the capital until June 2027. Like Marie Minnaert and Aude Waldbillig, she has signed a three-year contract with Sporting, a testament to the growing professionalism within the RSCA Women’s structure.
Congratulations, Stefi.
