Marie Minnaert has extended her contract with the RSCA Women until June 2027. The midfielder has signed a three-year contract. It's the first time that a player signs such a long-term contract.
Marie arrived at Neerpede in June 2022. She won the Belgian league in her first season with the RSCA Women. Unfortunately, she also suffered a setback with a severe knee injury last April.
After a rehabilitation period, Marie played her first minutes and even scored her first goal post-injury in March. With the play-offs coming next, Marie's comeback comes at the perfect timing.
Dave Mattheus, RSCA Women coach: "A three-season contract is a first for the RSCA Women. It's another step towards the professionalisation of our structure. We hope that this will mark the start of a long-term commitment by more and more players to our project."
Congratulations, Marie.
