RSCA Women pays tribute to leaving players on Saturday

On Saturday, RSCA Women - KAA Gent will be the final matchday of the Lotto Super League. With the sixth consecutive title already in the bag, it will also be the last game in purple & white for some of our players. The club will give them a worthy tribute for their last game, that is being played at the Lotto Park.

Justien Odeurs will hang up her football boots after this season. The Belgian goalkeeper has defended the colours of our RSCA Women since 2018, having previously played in purple and white during the 2013-2014 season. Justien can look back to five consecutive national titles and the Belgian cup. She was also an absolute stronghold for the Red Flames for a long time.

The club will also say goodbye to Charlotte Tison. Charlotte has always been an ambassador for our RSCA Women with a huge track record. Charlotte played no less than seven seasons for RSCA Women and was a stronghold in midfield. She also made her mark with the Red Flames.

After four seasons in purple-and-white, Mariam Toloba will also leave the club. Mariam has played for RSCA since 2019 and thus, like Justien and Charlotte, had a big part in the successes of our RSCA Women in recent seasons. Michelle Colson, who also spent four seasons at the club, has decided to leave the club for a new adventure as well.

These star players will play their last game for Sporting on Saturday, with a filled trophy cabinet and, above all, with a big sense of pride. The club wishes to thank them explicitly for their commitment and wishes them all the best in their future careers.

Meanwhile, the RSCA Women already signed Golden Boot-winner and Red Flame Tine De Caigny. Laura De Neve and Laura Deloose, among others, have already signed a contract extension. The other signings for next season’s squad will be announced shortly.
