After many contract extensions, and the announcement of a new goalkeeper with Seraina Friedli, the RSCA Women have secured a new reinforcement. Fran Meersman (20 years old) comes over from KAA Gent Ladies, and signs for one year. The left-back will play with number 5.
Fran is a young, athletic player. She received her formation at Gent, where she played for seven years. Fran has a good left foot and has been a part of national coach Yves Serneels' squad for two years. The Red Flame made her debut during a friendly against Luxembourg (0-1 win) on 12 June 2021. She has seven selections and five caps behind her name with the women's national team at the age of 20.
